Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan located on the southern slopes of the eastern Himalayas, landlocked between the Tibet Autonomous Region to the north and the Indian states of Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to the west and south. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are a destination for serious trekkers. Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery, a sacred site, clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. The population of Bhutan is 753,947 in 2013 according to World Bank. Thimphu is capital of Bhutan. Official language of Bhutan is Dzongkha, Currencies are Bhutanese ngultrum and Indian rupee. The king of Bhutan is Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
